The Annual Register contains information of over 3,200 grant funding organizations spread across 12 categories. Information includes contact information as well as a description of the organization, type of support provided, restrictions (geographic, etc), and other points of note.

The Foundation Directory - AS911.A2 F65

The Foundation Directory is another print source for information on thousands of grant funding agencies and organizations. Financial data on the listing is included as well as contact and mission statement descriptions.

Subject search - Nonprofit organizations

The Library of Congress established a controlled vocabulary used by all libraries. The subject of "nonprofit organziations" can be searched using the VUCat catalog. Falvey has a variety of titles under this subject. Also, use the LOC Authorities page to search for terms that are either narrower or broader in scope depending on your needs.

ABI/Inform

Global full text records provide complete citations, indexing and abstracts for articles published in over 1,000 business journals, including more than 350 published outside the United States. Includes the full text of the Wall Street Journal from 1984-present.

Business Source Premier

Business Source Premier, designed specifically for business schools and libraries, provides more than 3,600 full text scholarly publications, including more than 1,050 peer-reviewed journals with titles such as the Harvard Business Review and the OECD Economic Surveys. More than 200 of the journals have PDF full text back to 1965 or the first issue published. In addition to the fulltext, this database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 4,400 journals. This database offers information in nearly every area of business including management, economics, finance, accounting, international business. Another segment of this database provides domestic and international Company reports (including detailed SWOT reports), a business citation search, and an image database.

CQ Researcher*

CQ Researcher report offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of political and social issues, with regular reports on topics in health, international affairs, education, the environment, technology and the U.S. economy. Each CQ Researcher report is based on a common structure: overview, background, current situation, pro/con section, special focus, chronology, bibliography and next step.

Lexis-Nexis

Lexis-Nexis gives searchers world wide web access to the latest business, news, and legal information. Top news stories, company and industry reports, and medical abstracts are at the searchers fingertips. Lexis-Nexis also contains an easy to use patent search tool that provides an alternative to the USPTO search engine. Literature of the Non-Profit Sector (LNPS)

LNPS Online is a searchable database of the literature of philanthropy. It incorporates the unique contents of the Foundation Center's five libraries and contains more than 22,615 full bibliographic citations, of which more than 15,140 have descriptive abstracts. It is updated daily.

Sociological Abstracts*

Abstracts covering sociological topics in fields such as anthropology, economics, education, medicine, community development, philosophy, demography, political science, and social psychology. Journals published by sociological associations, groups, faculties and institutes, and periodicals containing the term "sociology" in their titles are abstracted fully.

Voluntas: International Journal of Voluntary and Non-Profit Organizations

Access Voluntas by using the E-Journal Finder. "The official journal of the International Society for Third-Sector Research, Voluntas is an interdisciplinary international journal that aims to be the central forum for worldwide research in the area between the state, market, and household sectors. Articles are published in English but abstracts in French, German, and Spanish are included, and submissions in these languages are welcomed. The journal combines full-length articles with shorter research notes (reflecting the latest developments in the field) and book reviews."
