1. Making your VUCat searches more specific (Boolean searching)
Instructions
This tutorial consists of 8 screens. Some of the screens are interactive and will allow you to search VUCat in the lower frame.
Navigate
through the tutorial by click on the
right arrow
to go forward and on the left arrow
to go back at the bottom of
each screen.
You may exit this tutorial at any time and return to the library homepage by clicking on END NOW as the bottom of the screen.
Adjust the horizontal dividing line up or down as needed. To do this, place the cursor on the line. Then depress the left side of the mouse while moving the mouse itself up or down.
In this tutorial you will learn how to make your VUCat searches more specific by
identifying the different concepts contained in a research question
finding terms for each concept
using those concepts to do a Keyword Boolean search in VUCat.
