To celebrate Black History Month, Joe Aronson will present "Songs of the Black American Experience."  He will sing songs by both blacks and whites which describe and comment on slavery, runaways, the Underground Railroad, Abolition, liberation, Jim Crow, economic and Civil Rights struggles.  Included will be work songs, ballads, soldier songs, Spirituals, protest songs and some theatre songs which pioneered in trying to advance the Negro's status in America.  Wednesday, February 28, 2007, 7:00 p.m.   First floor lounge, Falvey Memorial Library.
