     Parent's Weekend

     Kite Runner event

     in the Library

     During this academic year Villanova University

     will be inaugurating its One Book Villanova program

     with the motto "read it, share it." On September

     28 each undergraduate will be given a copy of a

     book to read which will be collected and donated to

     local schools at the end of the year.

 

 

Everyone at Villanova University will be encouraged to read the novel The Kite

Runner by Khaled Hosseini to promote community, literacy and consciousness raising

discussion of a powerful story of our world and times. There will be a calendar of exciting

programs held across campus through the year relating to the book. A Parents' Weekend

discussion of this year's book with University Librarian Joe Lucia and Dr. Terry Nance,

Assistant Vice President for Multicultural Affairs will take place 10 a.m., Saturday,

September 17 in the first floor lounge of Falvey Memorial Library.
