About Media Technologies & Creative Design
Media Technologies & Creative Design (MT/CD) administers a wide range of academic media resources, facilities and services for faculty, student and staff utilization, with the primary objective to facilitate, enhance and enrich the teaching and learning process at Villanova University through the use of media technologies. To that end, MT/CD acquires non-print media titles for curriculum and research purposes; consults on, designs and project manages multimedia classroom installations; provides and maintains media equipment installed within every general campus classroom (75% of which are smart classrooms); maintains most University owned media equipment; provides a wide variety of equipment for check-out; operates several on-site multimedia viewing rooms; facilitates satellite teleconference downlinks; trains faculty and students to operate all MT/CD check-out and editing equipment, as well as classroom systems; and makes available video documentation for events and classes. MT/CD also manages and produces an extensive range of graphic arts services in areas of digital and traditional graphics design and photography. Creative design services are utilized by faculty and administration for curriculum, research, presentation and publication use, as well as for internal, community, national and international University use. All media collections are housed in the Bound Periodical stacks and can be requested at the Service Desk on the first floor.
