Acquisitions & Cataloging
Cataloging uses OCLC, a national bibliographic database, to process faster
and more efficiently materials such as books, serials, microforms, audio-visual
materials and CD-ROMs. Once the item is cataloged, and classified using the
Library Of Congress Classification Schemes, the item is
labeled and placed in the Stacks for your
convenience.
The catalogers are also responsible for keeping current and accurate the
information in the library's online catalog,
