 4 Steps to Accessing Articles Found through PubMed

  1. Connect to PubMed via the link on the Falvey Library homepage or this research guideThis is essential in order to access articles free through the library's subscriptions!
  2. Perform your search.
  3. When examining your list of results, click on the name(s) of the author(s).
  4. Click on to obtain full-text articles through the library's online subscriptions, OR to get call numbers of journals received in print at Falvey Library, OR to place an interlibrary loan request for articles in journals that Falvey Library does not subscribe to.

  1. Connect to PubMed via the link on the Falvey Library homepage (http://library.villanova.edu) or this research guide.
  2. Perform your search.
  3. When examining your list of results, click on the name(s) of the author(s).
 
 

4.  Click on .  The "Find it" button is the key to accessing full-text articles through the library's subscriptions.  Other icons appearing in your PubMed results may not reflect subscriptions held by Falvey Library.

 
  • If you see "Full text available via..." click on the link.
 
  • If there is no "Full text available via..." link, click on VUCat.  Look for the volume and year you need on the holdings record.
  • If you do not see the volume and year you need, or if you get the message "Your search resulted in no hits," then click on the ILLiad link to place an interlibrary loan request. ALLOW AT LEAST 10 DAYS.
